Welcome to Choice Concrete, a division of Midwest Beef Systems, and an industry leader in Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC).  Explore our services and discover why Choice Concrete is the right choice.

Information

Choice Concrete can help with any size project. We have experience in both traditionally poured concrete (PCC) and/or roller compacted concrete (RCC).

RCC has been around since the 1970's but has become a popular and expanding paving option since the early 2000's. In recent years, the innovative process, combined with up-to-date technology has helped RCC become a main stay in the Midwest.

RCC is a drier material, with a zero-slump mix. RCC is known for its high-strength capabilities, along with its faster set/cure time.

RCC can be applied towards industrial/commercial parking lots, driveways, municipality streets and highways, bike trails, agriculture functions, airport runways, dams/levees, and much more.

About Us

Choice Concrete is an established concrete paving business located in Huxley, Iowa. Specializing in Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC), we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, sustainable, and cost-effective paving solutions. With years of experience, we are committed to exceeding our clients' expectations with every project.

The Process

The RCC material is made out of our rapid, mobile plant.  After this, the material is loaded onto a dump truck and then transported to the job site.

Once at the job site, the material is either dumped onto the ground and placed with a dozer or skid loader or can be loaded into a paver. The material can be applied directly on top of dirt, sand, gravel, etc. No rebar is needed.

Once the RCC is placed or paved, a heavy-duty roller will follow the dozer/skid loader or paver and help create a mechanical reaction. The compaction and compression from the roller allow the material to bond and that's how the high-density strength is achieved.

The process can end there, but if you want a smoother surface, we can apply a power trowel to help finish the product.
